To better help illustrate some of the choices available, this slide provides typical configurations that are available for one-piece terminal blocks. The available options show different wire entry angles, modular blocks, two and three level terminal blocks, high profile, various centerline spacing (illustrated as high density vs. high power) as well as some of the common wire termination methods. Each of these configurations has a specific design objective that it is trying to meet, whether it’s providing flexibility in wire entry angle to fit a packaging requirement, or offering a higher profile connection in order to accommodate board placement next to some taller components.
