Terminal blocks come in many different styles, shapes and sizes and fit into many different applications. Several of these styles include: DIN rail terminal blocks, eurostyle terminal blocks, wire protector terminal blocks, etc. All serve a common function to provide a means to terminate or connect discrete wires in a non-factory setting. One of the more common application requirements is the need for a field wire-able, discrete wire to printed circuit board termination. Even within this particular application requirement there are different types of terminal blocks that can be used. The most common are generally referred to as eurostyle terminal blocks, and barrier strips or barrier blocks. The most widely used product for this application on a global basis is the European style (eurostyle) terminal block.
