To increase panel density, multi-port cage configurations are often implemented.  Ganged cages offer tighter port spacing than applying individual single port cages.  Ganged cages can also be applied in many cases to both sides of a PCB, commonly called belly-to-belly mounting.  Stacked cages offer another dual row option, using press-fit technology.
