Standard AMPLIMITE D-subminiature connectors are produced in two series, which are the HD-20 and HD-22 series. Each series has five sizes related to the size of the shell. The HD-20 connector features size 20 contacts, which are based on 0.040” pin diameters with contact centerlines of 0.109” x 0.112”. Furthermore, the HD-22 connector uses size 22 contacts, which are based on 0.030” pin diameters on centerlines of 0.090” x 0.078” for shell sizes 1 through 3, 0.095” x 0.078” for shell size 4, and 0.095” x 0.082” for shell size 5.
