The TE Connectivity AMPLIMITE D-subminiature connector family is an extensive line of input/output (I/O) connectors. AMPLIMITE D-sub connectors have been produced for over 50 years and can be distinguished by their mating face, which is similar to the shape of the capital letter “D”. This distinct shape facilitates correct orientation during mating. AMPLIMITE D-sub connectors are designed to carry signal-level currents associated with data transmission applications such as desktop computers. These types of applications use AMPLIMITE D-sub connectors to transmit data from the computer to a display. There are also some versions that accommodate power-level currents of up to 7A.
