The STM32® is a true general-purpose microcontroller family, and is ideally suited for any application requiring real-time control or connectivity, including industrial applications, building and security applications, medical devices, household appliances, or consumer applications. The STM32 F0 meets the requirements of appliance applications combining advanced digital and analog peripherals. Easy communication implementation is supported between household appliance front panels and power components with robust I²C FM+ with 20 mA sink capability and fast I/O toggling capability. The 16-bit and 32-bit PWM timers integrated on-chip have capabilities including seventeen capture/compare inputs and outputs mapped on up to twenty eight pins. Together with the 12-bit, 1 MSPS ADC, these make the ideal fit for motor-control and induction cooking applications. The STM32 F0 is ready to support industry safety specifications, used by appliance applications, with the help of the optimized self-test routines. The STM32 F0 embeds a set of hardware features simplifying safety standard compliance such as the clock security system for switching to the internal back-up RC clock in the case of external clock failure, hardware RAM parity checking, cyclic redundancy check, and a dual window watchdog system.
