From the GUI on the PC the user can program the operating points and also send movement commands to the L6470. The GUI consists of two screens, one for constant speed mode or, and one to operate the device in the positioning mode. There is also a pop up window to set the movement profile parameters. In this window it is possible to set the acceleration and deceleration parameters and the maximum speed to be used for position commands then write them to the L6470 across the SPI interface. Once the device is set up the user can close this window and return to the main operating screen.
