The L6470 receives the operating parameters, like maximum speed, acceleration rate, and deceleration rate, and motion commands; such as to move a number of steps forward or reverse, go to a specific location or run at constant speed, from the microcontroller over the SPI interface. With the evaluation kit, the user can set all of these parameters from the graphical user interface.
