Intelligent Power Switches Slide 27

As shown on this slide, for all the VIPower family, the outputs can be put in parallel. That means a large number of combinations are available. In the previous slide, the VN751 was shown as having the smallest RDSON with 60 mOhm. This is true if only one output is used. If a customer need a 20 mOhm IPS, there is in fact a solution. All the multi channel IPS can have their outputs in parallel. So, the product like the VNI4140 that has 4 channels and an RDSON 0f 80 mOhm per channel can be configured as a single channel IPS with 20 mOhm. The decrease of the RDSON allows at the same time to increase the current driving a load.
