How to Easily Design a Stepper Motor Slide 3

Shown on this slide is the current portfolio for motor control. ST is making a strong focus on dual H-bridge products and stepper motors and the new solutions, called dSPIN for the L6470 and EasySPIN for the L6474, are highlighted in red. The driver section is a monolithic solution integrating controller, gate drivers and MOSFETs on one silicon. For this solution, the maximum current is 3 A and the maximum voltage is 45 V. If higher voltage is required, the L6480 is very similar to the L6470 but has eight gate drivers for eight external MOS devices instead of the dual H-bridge integrated in the silicon of the L6470, and the L6474 is a low end version of the L6470 with a current control and less programming features. Other new products are the PowerSPIN series in QFN package and the smartDRIVE family (L639x).
