Accelerometer-Slide9

The output of an accelerometer can either be digital or analog. Analog outputs are specified in volts and are used in feedback control systems because it is more accurate than digital outputs. Digital accelerometers integrate an ADC to internally convert voltage outputs to digital outputs which make it easier to use in systems with microprocessors. System integration will generally dictate which type of output is required.
