Since Renesas Synergy™ already offers a qualified platform, it makes it possible to implement solutions such as wireless application frameworks. Because the competitors do not offer a platform such as Synergy, it is very difficult for them to offer something similar. The SSP already has more than 20 application frameworks that implement top-level functions with just a small set of API calls making it very easy for developers because the underlying details are abstracted. They call one function and get a lot done! Examples include playing back audio over different formats from different sources, managing capacitive touch interaction, or decompressing a JPEG image. This also allows for very flexible development and great modularity because the developer can write code that is independent of underlying hardware components. As long as the application is communicating to the framework, the application does not need to change when hardware components change. This is what Synergy Platform is leveraging with wireless application frameworks.
