The PCA962x family of LED drivers have 8, 16, or 24 output channels. The devices are fully programmable with individual 8-bit PWM dimming which can be set to dim each output in 256 steps. There is also an 8-bit global PWM which can be set in 256 steps to control the dimming on all the outputs. Each output can drive up to 100mA and because they are open-drain drivers, the LEDs can be pulled-up to as high as 40V. This enables the device to be used in applications where a single output can drive a string of LEDs.
