Combination Logic solutions provide a mechanism to reduce board space by combining dissimilar logic functions into one package. Combination Logic can be especially advantageous for applications that commonly incorporate two dissimilar logic solutions in a common fashion, such as an OR gate followed by an AND gate. Depending upon the application, the benefits of Combination Logic can include reduced system level cost, reduced pin count, reduced package count, reduced assembly expense due to less packages being placed on the board, improved signal routing, and potentially improved signal performance.
