In the example shown here, on the left, a design implementation includes both a 2-input OR gate and a 2-input AND gate. The output of the OR gate is routed into one input on the AND gate. In the figure on the right, the design implementation is able to replace two discrete devices by one Combination Logic solution, in this case the 74AUP1G3208. This solution reduces board space, system cost, inventory complexity and costs, as well as potentially reducing qualification expenses.
