Configurable and Combination Logic Slide 13

In terms of Combination Logic Solutions, Nexperia offers products that fall into three categories: Single Gate, Dual Gate, and Triple Gate. A Single Gate solution is an implementation where two dissimilar functions are integrated into one device and the output of one function is connected internally, on die, to an input of the second function. A Dual Gate solution is an implementation where two dissimilar functions are integrated into one device, but the two functions are fully independent. An example would be one device that integrates both a standard AND gate and a standard OR gate into one package. A Dual Gate solution can benefit applications that utilize dissimilar functions that are fully independent in close proximity to one another on the board. In this case, the Combination Logic can reduce board space and system level cost. In the diagram shown here, one can see the difference between the 74AUP1G3208 and the 74AUP2G3208, basically where the output of the OR gate is internally routed to the input of the AND gate on the 74AUP1G3208 device. The Triple Gate solutions integrate three dissimilar functions which are fully independent and not connected within the package. Due to pin limitations, only buffers and inverters are available in Triple Gate solutions.
