The MIC28304 is one product from a family of Micro Power Modules, and first micro power module that can tolerate surges up to 70V while handling a large difference between input and output voltages, which makes it ideal for applications that are noise sensitive and subject to large voltage transients that can be as high as 70V. The MIC28304 offers adjustable output voltage, programmable current limit and can be used to drive up to 3A. Micrel offers very small highly integrated modules to address the 5V input voltage that range 400mA to 2A as well as 4.5V to 26V input voltage range high current modules that address from 6A to 14A all in a very small footprint.
