Now that we’ve looked at all of the differences, you can see that the dsPIC33 can offer a lot of additional features to users migrating up from dsPIC30. There’s the larger memories with up to 256kB of flash and up to 30kB of RAM. dsPIC33 devices operate much faster at a lower operating voltage with correspondingly lower dynamic power consumption. These devices offer DMA capability. They offer faster and more capable A to D modules. The product families also are available in larger pin count packages.
