Another application example of this family would be an automotive sensor. Many sensors have to analyze complex datasets and transmit the resulting information to a central controller. The 70 MIPS performance offered by the dsPIC33EP  family enables high speed data processing. The CAN and LIN peripherals simplify communicating back to the central controller.
