The MAX31914 and MAX31915 are eight channel digital input translators with parallel interface for customers who prefer this architecture. These two parts also feature an additional 5 V CMOS logic input as well as the type 1, 2, and 3 per IEC 61131-2. These devices implement the current limiting technique for both parts along with the ultra low power mode for the MAX31914 to further reduce power dissipation and increase channel density. Selectable on-chip lowpass filters allow flexible debouncing and filtering of sensor outputs and the on-chip 5 V voltage regulator can be used to power external components.
