When considering a change from 10 GHz to 24 GHz, a few things must be considered. Because of the smaller size of K-Band sensors, the dimensions of the housing also may shrink, and the radome needs to be accordingly modified. Besides the mechanical changes, also technical adjustments must be made. Concerning circuit changes, the integrators have to optimize the gain depending on the application. The filters have to be adjusted due to a frequency increase of 2.4 times. The calculation of the radar wave function needs to be adapted to the higher frequency.
