InnoSenT introduces the IMD-1100 24 GHz motion detector as an ideal solution for 10 GHz users who are considering other technological options. It is not only the most inexpensive, but also the smallest available product from InnoSenT. Due to CW radar modulation, it detects moving objects or people and determines the velocity and direction of movement of them. A moving person is typically detected within a range of fifteen meters. The radar device outputs an IF I- and Q-Signal for movement direction determination. InnoSenT designed the IMD-1100 for high volume production and delivers it on bulk reels. As a Radar Front End, the radar device comes without signal processing unit. This offers customers more flexibility in development and adaptation to their individual needs. Worldwide certification is possible. Typical industrial use cases for the IMD-1100 are security and building automation. It can be used to automatically trigger technical functions when a movement is detected.
