The PSoC™ 6 is a dual-core architecture designed specifically for the IoT, with a 150MHz Arm® Cortex®-M4 core and a 100MHz Arm® Cortex®-M0+ core. This high-performance, dual-core architecture enables optimization of system power consumption and performance. The dual CPU architecture allows flexible mapping of the various peripherals and functionalities between the two CPU cores based on the power/performance requirements. The PSoC 6 offers multiple wired and wireless connectivity options such as Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, and USB to support internet, cloud-based service, and includes software-defined peripherals to create custom AFEs and to support last-minute design changes while minimizing PCB re-spins. Integration of Infineon’s CAPSENSE™ into the PSoC 6 MCU enables development of sleek, next-generation user-interfaces.
