The PSoC™ 6 offers different product lines, such as PSoC™ 61, PSoC™ 62, PSoC™ 63, and PSoC™ 64 each with unique feature sets and capabilities to cater to various application requirements. Starting at the bottom is the PSoC 61 line-up. It only ships with a single Arm® Cortex®-M4 core for application development and is offered in different options for Flash memory sizes, DMA channels, and chip packages. Next, the PSoC 62 product offering with a dual-core design where both the Arm Cortex-M4 and Arm® Cortex®-M0+ are available for application use. The PSoC 62 variations offer different Flash memory sizes, DMA channels, and chip packages. The PSoC 63 focuses on Bluetooth Low Energy applications using one core to run the Bluetooth stack and the other core to run the application, and it includes an integrated Bluetooth radio. This enables seamless integration of wireless communication capabilities into a wide range of IoT, wearable, and smart device applications. At the top of the PSoC family is the PSOC 64, which is focused on IoT applications that require a high level of security. Infineon provides pre-configured security to reduce the complexity and development time required for integrating security into applications. The Cortex-M0+ core found in the PSoC 64 family of MCUs acts as a secured processing environment (SPE) and the Cortex-M4 acts as a non-secured processing environment (NSPE). Example applications for the PSoC 64 include smart locks, security tokens, and secure data communication systems.
