There are several development platforms to support the i.MX 6 series. All of these boards are designed and supported by NXP. There is a common set of boards used for Quad, Dual, DualLite and Solo devices. The SoloLite series will have its own EVK, due to the more focused market approach for that device (eReaders). The SABRE Auto board will be supported for automotive customers only. For the general market, there are two different platforms. The SABRE Board for Smart Devices is the lower cost option. There will be versions of each that will have a Quad part on it and versions with a DualLite silicon on the boards. There will be software tools to disable cores so that the DualLite boards can be used for development with the Solo.
