The Solo series uses the Vivante GC355 OpenVG 2D accelerator for 300 Mpxl/s (improved over i.MX53’s AMD graphics engine), and includes an EPD controller. Solo adds dual display support, MIPI camera, and replaces the 2D graphics engine with Vivante’s GC880 3D Open GL engine. Also added are audio peripherals such as the asynchronous sample rate converter and the enhanced serial audio interface. There are no differences in DualLite peripherals from Solo on this slide. Dual improves display resolution to WUXGA+HD1080, adds a second LVDS port and two display ports for a total of four, and an improved MIPI-CSI. Dual also adds a third graphics engine, 2D, BLT, 3D engines, and a SATA interface. The 3D engine is improved to 1000 Mpxl/s.
