In summary, Eaton supercapacitors are unique, ultra-high capacitance devices utilizing electrochemical double layer capacitor (EDLC) construction combined with new, high performance materials. This combination of advanced technologies allows Eaton to offer a wide variety of capacitor solutions tailored to specific applications that range from a few micro-amps for several days to several amps for milliseconds. In this presentation Eaton has shown the customer the four basic parameters and the basic equations needed to select an initial supercapacitor. Along with that Eaton has given a few examples to help the customer calculate the right capacitance for the project. Finally, Eaton has introduced the on-line calculator spreadsheet to assist the customer in the product selection needs.
