Hot switching cycle lifetime is an important characteristic of mechanical switch robustness, which is based on power being applied across the device when being switched. This slide focuses on a hot-switching comparison analysis between the ADGM1004 MEMS Switch and a typical RF Relay, showing the Average, or 50% Mean Cycle Before Failure and also 1% Mean Cycle Before Failure specification levels. The conclusion is that the ADGM1004 has a vastly higher level of hot-switching performance at below 10 dBm power levels, and superior hot-switching performance up to 20 dBm power levels. At above 20 dBm hot-switching, the ADGM1004 hot-switching cycle lifetime starts to reduce below typical RF Relays. Also, note that the ADGM1304 has similar hot-switching performance characteristics as the ADGM1004.
