This slide outlines the benefit of using the ADGM1304 or ADGM1004 in the switch matrix application. The comparison analysis is of using RF Relays versus the Analog Devices’ MEMS switches in a 1:16 fan out matrix. The RF Relay solution is highlighted in the red box, where it takes 9 RF Relays to realize this function, and takes up significant board area, approximately 900 mW of power and also requires complex routing. The alternative MEMS Switch solution is highlighted in the blue box, where the design is simplified to requiring only 5 SP4T switches of either ADGM1304 or ADGM1004, with board area usage reduced by 68%, and with only 50 mW of drive power required in addition to added simplification of the board routing.
