PulseOx-Slide6

A pulse oximeter analyzes the light absorption at two wavelengths, 660 and 940nm, of light transmitted through the skin during the systolic phase of blood flow in the tissue. The percentage of oxygen in the body is then determined by calculating the ratio of the light absorbed between these two wavelengths. The pulse wave is an important part of the analysis and synchronization is needed to measure the blood oxygen saturation.
