Shown here is the MAX® 10 FPGA + Enpirion® implementation, reducing a solution needing a large number of components into two components (both available from a single vendor). Not only does it save on average 50% board area, it also goes from power-up to user mode much faster than traditional FPGAs, from hundreds of milliseconds down to a few milliseconds. MAX® 10 devices can definitely simplify traditional FPGA system designs.
