This chart displays the available products ranging from IP20 patch cables to field attachable connectors, as well as hybrid connectors using Weidmüller’s OMNIMATE 4.0 container. Device manufacturers benefit from an angled IP20 board-mount connector with and without LED. A straight version without LED is also available for optimal device integration. Manufacturers of field devices can connect their devices with a large family of industrial M8 SPE cordsets in various lengths. The interfaces are available for male-to-male, female-to-female, and male-to-female M8 with standard screw locking. IP6x field device manufacturers benefit from 90° SMD through-hole, SMD sockets, and straight M8 sockets. A bulkhead connector connecting the field with the inner part of the switch cabinet with the single pair Ethernet interface is also available. In the future, Weidmüller will release an IP20 coupler to be used in DIN rail outlets as well as in service interfaces. Field-attachable M8 and M12 SPE connectors are also planned, as well as M12 cordsets. Further M8 and M12 printed circuit board connectors will become available during 2022. It is also planned to realize a so-called hybrid connector on the basis of an M12 that provides the possibility to transmit four times 8 A plus functional earth and single pair Ethernet in one miniaturized M12 interface.
