The Tetra supports all of the rich video display/encoding and decoding features of the i.MX6 CPU. On-chip hardware acceleration is available for encode/decode of H.263, H.264, MJPEG, and MPEG-4. Standard display outputs are an HDMI V1.4 output and a single-channel LVDS flat panel 18- and 24-bit, with resolutions up to 1366 x 768. Also available is an optional adapter which can convert the LVDS to a VGA output. The camera interface is MIPI Camera Serial Interface 2 (MIPI CSI-2). It is a widely adopted, simple, high-speed protocol primarily intended for point-to-point image and video transmission between cameras and host devices. VersaLogic engineering has validated the use of Raspberry Pi camera board V1.3 that is a 5 megapixel Omron imager.
