Product List
Like all of VersaLogic’s rugged embedded computers, the Tetra is designed, manufactured, and tested to be reliable in critical and demanding environments. These environments include extreme temperatures, high shock, excessive vibration, and high humidity. It has gone through: a strict component selection and evaluation process, worst-case stress testing, state-of-the-art compliance and validation testing of all high-speed signals, verification of the external interfaces, and extensive power and four-corner thermal testing. The Tetra is powered by a 32-bit NXP i.MX6 quad-core Arm processor. This processor is performance optimized for lower power consumption and compatibility with the broadest range of Arm applications and development tools to ensure reduced system cost and development time. There are three different build options designed to fit the feature and price goals of most programs. All options include the quad-core (i.MX6 quad). As part of its rugged design, the Tetra includes 2 GigaBytes of soldered-down memory. This memory helps to support applications such as telemetry, data buffering, and data logging. There is also an optional Magnetic RAM (magnetoresistive random access memory) that keeps its contents even when the power is turned off. It is used in applications similar to the old Battery Backed up RAM: NVRAM. Uses are for applications that receive real time data and need to retain that data even during unplanned loss of power.
