Tripp Lite’s medical-grade UPS systems provide compliance for all connected equipment and are for use both inside and outside patient-care areas. They feature built-in, Faraday-shielded isolation transformers that reduce the cumulative leakage current (shock potential) of connected equipment. Full isolation provides superior common mode noise rejection while maintaining very low leakage current safety. These UPS systems also provide the highest level of protection against power problems, safeguarding against downtime, damage and data loss. In addition to full isolation, all receptacles provide battery backup during blackouts, reducing downtime and allowing service to continue uninterrupted. As an ideal backup solution to facility generators, the UPS systems will automatically switch between utility power and battery backup power within 2-4 ms (well within the fault tolerances of the most sensitive computer equipment). Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) keeps equipment working through low voltage (brownouts) or high voltage conditions indefinitely, without draining battery power. All models also protect connected equipment against damaging surges and disruptive EMI/RFI line noise. Hospital-grade outlets and plugs offer more secure connections. All models also include one or more communication ports and free PowerAlert software that guards against data loss when computers are left unattended during blackouts. PowerAlert will automatically save open files and shut down unattended equipment in the event of an extended blackout that depletes the UPS system’s battery supply. Medical-grade UPS systems are available in 120 V and 230 V input/output.
