Tripp Lite’s medical-grade mobile power retrofit kit provides UL 60601-1 compliance (or IEC 60601-1 compliance in 230 V applications) for all connected mobile equipment. The retrofit kit’s power supply features a built-in isolation transformer which reduces the cumulative leakage current of connected equipment. Full isolation provides superior common mode noise rejection while maintaining very low leakage current safety. Tripp Lite’s mobile power retrofit kit includes a battery to provide equipment mounted on mobile carts with a reliable source of AC power. They allow healthcare managers to upgrade new or existing carts for a fraction of the cost of buying new powered models. When connected to utility power, all receptacles protect connected equipment against damaging surges and disruptive EMI/RFI line noise. The included user-replaceable battery module provides long-lasting mobile power, up to 12 hours in standard applications. When the retrofit kit’s power supply is connected to a wall outlet, it automatically recharges the battery module. An advanced 3-stage charger recharges the battery more safely and faster than conventional chargers. Faster charging ensures faster cart rotation between shifts. The retrofit kit’s power supply features an internal Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) that works automatically, whether the power supply is plugged into a wall outlet or mobile. The ATS allows the power supply to simultaneously run connected equipment while recharging the battery module. PowerAlert software, included, saves valuable patient data from loss or corruption in the event the cart is left unattended and battery power is depleted. The retrofit kit also includes a remote user interface (RUI), mounting hardware, and standard cabling. 120 V models are in stock. 230 V models are not a standard stocked item, but are available for select opportunities. Tripp Lite’s mobile power retrofit kits are compatible with most popular carts from major manufacturers.
