Product List
Many times customers are looking for increased processing capability. They want to add more throughput, analog performance, or perhaps standardize on an ARM processor. Low power operations, especially for battery powered applications are also desired. The customer wants the tools and software to be easy to use and to help optimize the performance, as well as the power. A scalable portfolio is required that provides both low power and high performance products. The MSP432 solves these problems with a 32-bit 48 MHz Cortex M4F processor which gives the customer twice the performance of a Cortex M3 at half the power. Low power operation is part of MSP's DNA. TI has designed this device to be their lowest power general purpose Cortex-M device, with only 95 µA/MHz of active power and 850 nA of standby including the RTC. TI wants developers to take advantage of the MSP430 tool-chain as well as the ARM tool-chain, allowing them to optimize for high performance and for low power. Customers can now choose between 16-bit products and 32-bit products with seamless portability.
