A second benefit that the ISOW7841 offers is the single chip reinforced isolated signal and power. The maximum data rate of the signal channels is 100Mbps which covers a wide range of industrial applications. On the left side of this slide, a simulated board is shown with the discrete components that would be required to build the isolated data and power solution. Shown on the right side, the design is simplified to just one IC with the two decoupling capacitors. The size of the design drops from 35mm x 28mm to 22mm x 15mm which is around 33% of the discrete board space. In addition to this, the Z height is saving space, as previously mentioned. The ISOW7841 also has reinforced isolation which is a double level of isolation compared to a basic isolator. The working voltage of the ISOW7841 is 1kVrms. This helps provide improved system reliability and lifetime. Output power of the device is 0.65W, with a wide input voltage range of 3V to 5.5V.
