CapTIvate technology enables the world's lowest powered capacitive touch MCU. Capacitive touch solutions consume power, whether in use or not. This is a big issue particularly in battery powered applications. With CapTIvate touch technology, the MCU consumes as little as 0.9 µA per button while scanning up to four buttons with the CPU completely turned off. This is enabled by an autonomous analog front end and wake on touch state machine in hardware. CapTIvate touch MCUs in combination with FRAM memory technology can enable highly differentiated low power applications. FRAM is a non-volatile memory technology which is 100x faster and 250x lower power than flash.
