MTA connectors are used in many applications where wire-to-wire and wire-to-board connections are required. Some typical applications of MTA connectors include garage door openers, gasoline pumps, household appliances, coin changers and vending machines, fitness equipment, and datacom equipment. In the Ethernet switch shown on this slide, for example, a wire-terminated MTA receptacle and PCB header are used to connect the PCB to a fan assembly.
