For customers who need a wire-to-wire or wire-to-board connection solution to distribute power or low-current signals throughout electronic equipment, TE Connectivity offers the MTA interconnection system. These connectors allow for design flexibility; offering two centerline pitches and a large product breadth, along with multiple wire gauge and header options. The customer is able to choose between a compact .100” centerline or a larger .156” centerline, depending on the space constraints of the specific application. This post and receptacle interconnection system features insulation displacement contacts (also referred to as IDC) which allow for quick one-step termination, eliminating the need to strip wires and reducing quality issues such as damaged contacts and wiring errors. These connectors also featured in ‘closed end’ and ‘feed-through’ styles, this means that, the wires can end inside the connector, or continue through the connector, depending on the specific needs of the application.
