In many applications, it is desirable to have circuitry which can be used with legacy phase control TRIAC dimmers. The TS19320CS provides dimming via the phase angle input while preserving power factor correction. There are a wide range of protections built in and the device can be used in either a buck –boost topology or in a flyback mode for maximum flexibility.
