The integration of the module into the system has two main modes, the station mode and the mini-access-point mode. Starting with the mini-access-point the first problem will be how to connect ones product to the router in the home. To do this the mini-access-point functionality allows the customer access from a tablet or smartphone, through the Wi-Fi module, to configure the SSID and password of the router in the home, and then switch back to what is called the session mode in order to connect the device to the Internet. Now when the customer works in mini-access-point mode, they are able to connect up to five devices simultaneously. This allows several users to connect to the product at the same time, like a smart thermostat without any Internet access. The users can do this by using the device as a mini-access-point and with a tablet or smartphone and connect directly through Wi-Fi to the product. Now with station mode, using a the same Wi-Fi thermostat to connect to the internet. Using the same SSID and password from the mini-access-point mode, the module will connect to the router inside the house. The router will grant access to the internet and at this point, any tablet or device can connect to the product in the house using the cloud, the router, and the station mode of the Wi-Fi module.
