STMicroelectronics first offering of MEMS based microphones for non-high fidelity applications is shown on this slide. The MP34DT01 is a compact, high performance, low-power, omnidirectional digital MEMS microphone with a top port. The MP34DT01 combines a MEMS acoustic sensor and a CMOS interface IC in a single package. The microphone output is a digital audio signal in pulse-density modulation (PDM) format with the ability to transmit two separate channels of audio data on a single data line. The MP34DT01 has a 63 dB signal-to-noise ratio and flat frequency response over the full 20Hz – 20kHz audible frequency range. Additionally, the MP34DT01 has -26 dB FS sensitivity and a 120 dB SPL acoustic overload point (AOP). This device is available in an SMD-compliant package and it is guaranteed to operate over an extended temperature range from -30°C to +70°C.
