The features of the L1 series of STM8L and STM32L, from entry level to the feature-rich 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 devices are shown on this slide. For the STM8L devices these include: an 8-bit MCU with up to 16 MIPS at 16MHz; 2 to 64kbytes of embedded Flash, up to 4kbytes of SRAM and up to 2kbytes of EEPROM; up to four low-power modes, as low as 350nA with SRAM and context retention; run mode dynamic consumption down to 150μA/MHz; and a free touch-sensing library. Likewise, the features of the L1 series STM32L includes: a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 with up to 33 DMIPS at 32MHz; pin-to-pin compatibility with STM32F series (except VBAT); 32 to 384kbytes of embedded Flash, up to 48kbytes of SRAM and up to 12kbytes of data EEPROM; six low-power modes, as low as 300nA; low-power dynamic modes enabling low-power run down to 9µA, low-power sleep down to 4.9µA with one timer; and economical run mode consumption as low as 230μA/MHz from Flash at zero-wait state with dynamic voltage scaling (three ranges).
