The features of STTS75 are shown on this slide, the 8-pin, 3 to 5V digital local temperature sensor. It offers an excellent temperature monitoring accuracy with a maximum error of less than ±2°C over a wide temperature range and over the operating voltage range of 2.7 to 5.5V. This device enables the user to program the resolution of the integrated sigma-delta analog to digital converter resolutions up to 12 bits. The user can also program temperature alarm thresholds and hysteresis. An open drain output pin performs a dual function and can be configured to either provide an interrupt to the master or a thermostat output when the product is configured to operate in the comparator mode. The STTS75 has an active operating current over 50% lower than competitor’s parts and a low typical standby current of 1µA. It offers a power saving one-shot mode where the chip can be left in a power-saving standby mode and woken up by the master to do a one-shot temperature measurement. It supports the SMBus timeout feature on the two-wire bus to prevent lockup of the bus. With three address pins, this product can be configured by the end user to create eight distinct slave addresses, enabling a master to control up to eight STTS75 sensors (slaves) on the same bus.
