UTL is fully tested and qualified to be waterproof and dustproof up to an exceptional IP68/69K dynamic sealing performance level. This means it is not only waterproof when used underwater, but waterproof under dynamic conditions with the application of high pressure spray, even while the attached cables are in motion. Actual installations include car wash equipment with constant motion and high pressure spray, making UTL the perfect choice for these extreme environments. The product achieves IP68+ performance in mated condition with the use of standard crimp contacts. The same level of sealing can be achieved in unmated condition if O-ring machined contacts are used. Exposure to salt spray up to 1,000 hours or harsh fluids such as gas, petroleum oil, mineral oil, acid, and basic bath elements, typical in indoor and outdoor industrial elements, have no influence on the UTL series.
