Skyworks’ RF switch products are available in many packaging formats ranging from the ultraminiature 1mm x 1mm x 0.45mm QFN to the industry-standard SC-88 and SSOP-16 leaded packages. The leaded packaging options perform well up to approximately 3GHz. Many customers prefer this package style for the ease of visual inspection of the lead-to-printed-circuit-board solder joints. The leadless QFN packages extend the operating frequency range up to approximately 8GHz and occupy less printed circuit board space, which is often at a premium in modern systems. Skyworks’ lead free and / or “Green” options are identified on the product datasheets with a green leaf to indicate that they are RoHS compliant and meet all environmental guidelines. All parts are 100% RF tested and shipped in tape and reel for automated printed circuit board assembly.
