Skyworks’ Field Effect Transistor, or FET-based switches, are used extensively in smart energy management, cellular infrastructure, test and measurement and military commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) applications where higher performance is required. The switches are fully passivated with a silicon nitride as well as a scratch coat layer to ensure robust reliability. Other products such as the SKY13286, SKY13277, and AS204 are designed to achieve very high isolation and include internal 50 ohm terminations to maintain excellent return loss when looking into an “off” path RF port. This feature makes these devices ideal for switching between synthesizers in cellular infrastructure applications or wherever high isolation with excellent return loss are critical requirements.
