Impedance of MLCC is much lower than Ta capacitor. The lower impedance allows replacing the Ta with a much lower MLCC cap value while giving the same circuit performance. Depending on circuit function and frequency, MLCC can be 10-100% of the original capacitance; however DC bias of the MLCC should also be considered.
